Material Description

Delrin® is the homopolymer version of Acetal.

Acetal homopolymer made with Delrin® offers slightly higher mechanical properties than acetal copolymer but may contain a low-density center, especially in large cross-sections. This homopolymer also offers a little less chemical resistance than copolymer acetal. For example, Delrin® is ideal for small diameter, thin-walled bushings that benefit from the additional strength and rigidity of homopolymer acetal.

Businesses can utilize Delrin® machined parts across various industries, such as automotive, consumer goods, electrical and electronics, industrial equipment, and medical equipment. Some specific applications for Delrin® include bearings, bushings, rollers, valves, conveyor components, and electrical insulators. Its high strength and rigidity make it suitable for precision parts that require tight tolerances and resistance to wear and fatigue.

Delrin® is available in black and natural (off-white) colors.
