CPVC Material Description
CPVC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) has most of the same features and properties of PVC. CPVC has excellent corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures, and it may be used to temperatures of 200°F. CPVC can be bent, shaped, and welded. It is readily workable, including machining, welding, and forming. CPVC can be used in a wide variety of process applications. It has excellent fire resistance and chemical resistance.
PVC Material Description
PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is the most widely used member of the vinyl family. It is commonly used in pipe and fittings. PVC offers excellent corrosion and weather resistance. It has a high strength-to-weight ratio and is a good electrical and thermal insulator. PVC is also self-extinguishing per UL flammability tests. PVC may be used to temperatures of 140°F.
