Material Description

PCTFE (polychlorotrifluoroethylene) is a fluorocarbon-based polymer. It was first sold under the brand name Kel-F® by 3M; however, production was discontinued in 1995. Now, PCTFE material is sold under the brand name Neoflon®, which is made by Daikin Industries Ltd. This PCTFE resin has the same chemical structure and properties as the original Kel-F® brand material.

PCTFE plastic is known for its exceptional durability and stability across a wide range of temperatures. This makes it an invaluable material for industries requiring precision and reliability under extreme conditions. Additionally, the low permeability of PCTFE seals to gases and moisture is particularly beneficial in applications where maintaining strict environmental conditions is crucial, such as in the aerospace and medical industries.

PCTFE offers excellent physical and mechanical properties, no flammability, good chemical resistance, near zero moisture absorption, and excellent electrical properties.  These characteristics cannot be found in any other thermoplastic fluoropolymers with a useful temperature range of -400°F to +400°F (-240°C to +204°C).  PCTFE also has extremely low out gassing (0.01% TML, 0.00% CVCM, 0.00% WVR when tested per ASTM E-595-90), so it is suitable for use in aerospace and flight applications.

Our state-of-the-art facilities ensure the precision machining of PCTFE sheets according to stringent industry standards. We utilize advanced CNC machinery and employ highly skilled technicians with plenty of experience working with PCTFE. This ensures that every component we produce meets the high-quality expectations of our clients. Additionally, our comprehensive quality control processes include rigorous testing and inspection at every stage of production, guaranteeing that each part is free from defects and performs as intended.
