PEEK HPV (High Pressure Velocity Polyetherether Ketone)
Back to PEEK
Material Information
The KETRON PEEK family of materials is based on polyetheretherketone resin. This semi-crystalline advanced material exhibits a unique combination of high mechanical properties, temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance making it the most popular advanced plastics material.
Bearing grade HPV PEEK has excellent wear resistance in addition to the lowest coefficient of friction and the best machining characteristics of the filled PEEK stock shapes.
The addition of carbon fibers, PTFE and graphite to virgin PEEK results in a PEEK “Bearing Grade”.
Its excellent tribological properties (low friction, long wear and high Pressure-Velocity capabilities) make this grade especially suited for bearing and wear applications.
- Maximum Operating Temperature: 482°F Continuous
Features of HPV – Bearing Grade PEEK:
- Very Low Coefficient of Friction
- Low Wear Rate
- High PV (Pressure Velocity)
- Chemical Resistant
- Black in Color
- Typical Applications: Bearings, Rollers, Bushings and Wear Guides.
